La DoubleJ's Fall 2026 Collection: A Celebration of Ornate Connections
The timing of La DoubleJ's presentation at the golden hour couldn't have been more perfect, emphasizing the brand's motto, "Raise your vibration." The collection was unveiled at the rooftop terrace of the company's new headquarters in Milan, where natural light enhanced the mood-boosting designs by J.J. Martin and her signature joyful spirit.
Martin's creative process for the fall 2026 collection was inspired by a sacred site tour of Ireland she took last summer. Amidst meditations and visits to ancient ruins, she visited Dublin's Trinity University, where she encountered the iconic Book of Kells, a 9th-century illustrated manuscript. The intricate ornamentation, blending traditional Christian iconography with swirling motifs, mythical creatures, and vibrant colors, resonated deeply with Martin.
The collection showcases new prints featuring snakes, dragons, and wild creatures on fluid shirts and palazzo pants. These patterns draw from Celtic decorative motifs, complementing the familiar geometric and floral designs on pleated minidresses and figure-hugging silhouettes.
Martin also introduced new silhouettes, such as a billowing long dress with a ruched detail on the shoulder, which is sure to be a wedding guest's dream come fall. However, her most striking work this season was in outerwear, a category that might not immediately come to mind when thinking of her brand. The voluminous peacoat in brushed checks and an oversized grey coat adorned with pink feathery appliqués are perfect for transforming everyday outfits into statement pieces, even on the coldest days.
Despite the outerwear category not being a typical focus for La DoubleJ, these pieces offer compelling options for those seeking bold and joyous fashion choices.
